My name is Paula (Hadwen) Shareski. I was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada - one of the best little cities anywhere - where I live to this day with my wonderful family! Like everyone else these days, I lead a busy life. Fortunately it's mostly filled with things I love - like family, friends, books, teaching, stitching, quilting, designing, decorating, travelling...And I still love Christmas just as much as I did when I was four (see photo)! |

Because I love school SOOO much, I decided to become a teacher! And because I love reading SOOO much, I eventually became a teacher-librarian (and IT teacher). That's my day life. But I still needed a creative outlet. That where the designing and quilting comes in. |
My husband, Dean, and I will have been married for 25 years next summer. (We got married when I was 19 and he, 20, so you can do the math.) We have four awesome kids: Meredith (21), Sam (18), Shea (16) and Martha (10). The photo below was taken a while ago...
Meredith is married and completing her 4-year music degree at Humber College in Toronto. Sam is in her first year of Engineering at the U of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon this year. Shea is in Grade 11. She works part-time so she can travel (Guatemala, N. Ireland, and this Easter - France and Italy). Martha is in Grade 5. She loves to write stories and dreams of going to Paris. |

Oh yeah...just about forgot. We have two dogs. Rudy the Jack Russell Terrier and Charlotte the Shar Pei. They add a lot of "interest and adventure" to our crazy lives. Let's just leave it at that.
We live in a big, old brick house, built in 1912, that we have been renovating bit by bit for the past ten years. We are hoping to sell it and move into an old loft some day!

I have great friends - many of whom also love to quilt. We get together as much as possible.

| My surprise 40th birthday party at one of our local quilt shops (The Quilt Patch), of course, with some of my best friends. |
The summer of 2002 I got the crazy idea to start my own pattern design company and "Bobby Socks Quilt Company" was born. I don't have nearly the time I'd like to devote to it, but all in good time. I give it what time I can and have really enjoyed designing patterns over the past few years. It has been a pleasure to receive email from quilters all over the world. Thanks for writing!
