Pink Door

Summer – time for a new door colour. This time bubble gum pink. I don’t know why I didn’t start with my favourite colour, but it was worth the wait! I might not want to paint it again – ever!

We also have a front lawn at last. Hopefully we will also have hedges some day – they have some growing to do – as does our ornamental crabapple tree, which is not in the picture but off to the left.
Summer 2011 we had a Tiffany blue door.

And our first door colour (summer 2010) was Paris green. (I am so not missing winter!)

I love the door my house is a dirty light blue siding. I want to paint my front door. what did u use as a primer. I am thinking I need to do something bright.
Love your door mat!
I used the kind of paint that has primer in it. (I was actually painting latex over oil…) I almost always use this type of paint, usually Aura by Benjamin Moore. But BM doesn’t carry good pinks, so I used C-I-L smart with built-in primer. Behr also makes a good paint/primer combo.
