Movie Changes to the House |

July 1, 2007 June turned out to be a very strange month for us. Our house is being used to film a movie. So we spent much of June cleaning out our garage and closets, and packing up our house. The very nice movie people packed up a lot of our house, but anything we were concerned about (family pictures, etc.), they suggested we pack up. I opted to pack up my sewing room and transport most of it to my parents' house so I could still get to my stash this summer! We have been out of our house for 10 days now, while they have been transforming our house. We will be out for about 7 weeks altogether, between the movie and then being away on holidays. We should be pretty good at living in hotels by the end of this! I imagine we will be very happy to return home!! The movie being filmed is called "Finn on the Fly". It's a famly movie about a boy and his dog, Finn. The dog is accidentally turned into a human in the mad scientist's garage across the street. It's a fun story. It will be interesting to watch it come to life.
We have had a crew of people working on our house since we've been out. They have painted our fence and outside trim. They even added some trim on the peaks of the house. They have done some work on the yard - weeding and planting. They've also repainted my laundryroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, entry, stairwell and upper hall, our master bedroom and my sewing room. It is very strange to walk into the house right now. It definitely doesn't look like our house anymore.
Me chatting with the guy watering my plants............The house after trim added & painted.
